PFCDA is designed to prepare a student to become a Class A Commercial Vehicle Driver. Applicants for this program must: Be at least 21 years of age (some companies require 23 years of age).

  • Pass the Certified Medical Exam required by the Department of Transportation.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Pass a substance abuse test at a PFCDA approved facility.
  • Submit a clean Motor Vehicle Report from  the Department of Safety indicating no more than two moving violations within the last three years, an no DUI or DWI convictions within the last five years.
  • Submit a copy of High School Diploma or GED.
  • Commercial drivers must list all driving experience employment for the past 10   years.
  • Non-Commercial drivers must list all employment up to the last 5 years.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Be able to read, speak, and write the English language, in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Must present a clean, well groomed, proffesional appearance.
